Welcome to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. The city retains its traditional Khmer and colonial styles with French villas and large tree-lined sidewalks!
Upon your arrival, you are met and transferred to the hotel. Normal check-in at 15:00 hrs. Leave your luggage, and set off on a city tour of Phnom Penh.
Visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, the official residence of the King of Cambodia. Gleaming in gold, the Royal Palace is home architecturally spectacular buildings. The Silver Pagoda is so named for its floor, which is covered with 5 tonnes of gleaming silver. Sneak a peek at some of the silver tiles near the entrance, though most of the 5000 tiles are covered for protection. Inside are a series of lavish Buddha statues made of precious metals. Walk past the river-front park and up to the sacred hill Phnom Daun Penh after which the capital city takes its name.
